What if I could speak all languages of humans and of angels?
If i did not love others, I would be nothing more that a noisy gong of a clanging cymbal.
What if I could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge?
And what if I had faith that moved mountains?
I would be nothing, unless I loved others.
What if I gave away all that I owned and let myself be burned alive?
I would gain nothing, unless I loved others.
Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.
Love isn't selfish or quick tempered.
It doesn't keep a record if wrongs that others do.
Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
Love never fails!
Everyone who prophesies will stop, and unknown languages will no longer be spoken.
All that we know will be forgotten.
We didn't know everything, and our prophesies are not complete.
But what is perfect will someday appear, and what isn't perfect will then disappear.
When we were children, we thought and reasoned as children do.
But when we grew up, we quit our childish ways.
Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror.
Later we will see him face to face.
We didn't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us.
For now there are faith, hope, love.
But of these three, the greatest is LOVE.

1 Corinthians 13 (CEV)

Unconditional love. All of us know how hard it is to love everybody. Yes, you could easily love your friends and family and everyone you like. But, what about people you hate, your enemies? People who are against you? People who hurt you? God already said in the first lines of 1 Corinthians 13, a man could be everything, have everything, and own everything, but without love, he is nothing. How frustrating is that? To be perfect and successful and be nothing in actuality? To have everything and yet nothing. Even if you're a good person and you never really harmed others, unless you have loved them, you are nothing.

Love isn't just a thing for two opposite sexes in a relationship. It is not confined to that. Love is a many wonderful things that must not be limited to just two people.

So, love. It is a complete sentence in itself. Love! A verb which means a lot of things. Love, so that you'll be full. Love, so that you'll be complete. Love, so that you'll be something. For there is faith, hope, and love. But of these three, the greatest is love.
